Hematology-oncology is the branch of medicine involved in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. UPH Hematology-oncologists deal with all types of cancers and various treatment options including medicine and chemotherapy, surgery and radiation.

High-Risk Breast and Ovarian Cancer Clinic: Multi-disciplinary prevention clinic for women with any history of or predetermination for breast or ovarian cancer. The clinic offers the new breast cancer prevention drug, raloxifene. Women who use the clinics services have the opportunity to participate in clinical and pre-clinical trials. Phone: (520) 326-5290
University Physicians Healthcare has expanded its oncology services to better meet the needs of the community at UMC Orange Grove Hematology, 1891 W. Orange Grove Road. Major Areas of Research
There are 60 research labs within the Arizona Cancer Center where UPH hematology-oncologists conduct research to prevent and cure cancer. On a molecular level, researchers are exploring the secrets hidden in DNA to pinpoint gene targets. They are also aggressively conducting research to develop drugs that target cancer cells without damaging healthy tissue.
